The area (size) of land plots is determined by the results of topographic and geodetic works performed by an expert or a land surveyor (geodesist) using geodetic equipment. As a rule, along with the question of determining the area of the land plot for the decision of land technical examination such questions as:

• whether the actual size of the land plot corresponds to the size established by the state act (certificate) for the right of ownership of the land plot;
• whether the land was seized by neighbors;
• what area is used by the co-owner (co-owners) of the land plot, etc.
